Thank you for letting us share with you a little bit of OUR STM journey (yes, that includes you, the reader, our community, and our supporters). We did not go alone because we couldn't have done any of this without you! We made RAIN together!  Thank you!

As I am watching over the video from South Africa to prepare for report night, I am surprised by the emotion that comes over me. Seeing the faces of the children and the nice ladies at the senior center. I can remember the women giving me kisses on my cheek and thanking me for being with them. I remember they want me to go back and visit them soon. The outpouring of love and warmth from people I only spent a few hours with was surprising. Watching the videos of the dancing and singing, you'd think that was all we did.

I am really looking forward to report night, not only because it's a time to share with the people who supported us, but because in those moments of reflection, we are taking the time to keep those memories and the people of South Africa alive in our thoughts and prayers.

One request for the team - can we work Fred saying, "you gave me my first kiss in South Africa," into our video? He was talking to Sophie as we were leaving the convalescent home.

STM Debrief Retreat

HI there!

This past weekend, Newsong NOC and LA STM teams went to a Debriefing Retreat up in Yucaipa. Ca. The weather was hot, but it was a great weekend.

Team Time included: 5-min Skit that encompassed what we did on our trip, Silence and Solitude, Conflict Resolution, Praise and Group/Team Affirmation. What a powerful time of reflection and relaxation.
